Quest 3

The Meta Quest 3 is a standalone virtual and mixed reality headset developed by Meta Platforms, released in late 2023. As the successor to the highly popular Quest 2, the Quest 3 offers significant improvements in performance, display resolution, and notably, full-color passthrough for enhanced mixed reality (MR) experiences. It features next-generation pancake lenses for improved visual clarity and a slimmer optic profile. Powered by an advanced Snapdragon chipset, the Quest 3 delivers more processing power, enabling more complex and graphically rich games and applications without the need for an external PC or console. A key focus of the Quest 3 is its mixed reality capabilities, allowing digital content to be seamlessly overlaid onto the user's real-world environment. This opens up new possibilities for gaming, productivity, and social applications. The headset supports the extensive library of games and experiences available on the Meta Quest Store, many of which are optimized to take advantage of the Quest 3's enhanced features.
