Helldivers 2 developers are now planning their next game And show concept art from a previous project they considered.
Helldivers 2 is a resounding success for Swedish Arrowhead Games, but even though support for it will likely continue for a good while, nothing lasts forever, and they are of course eager to create something new. On X, Johan Pilestedt from Arrowhead writes that he is now working on a "high concept" for Arrowhead's next game – meaning a rough description of what the game will be about and what it will involve. They are thus in the early stages, and it will likely be a while before actual development begins, but the work is underway. He also encourages speculation about what the game might be, and in response to one of these, he shows concept art (below) from a flying game they were interested in developing at one time, called Eagles of Democracy. For clarity: this is not what they are currently working on, but rather a previous project.
